Synopsis[]
Arthur, Megan, Ryan and Moose adjust to their new roles as Power Rangers as a search is underway to seek out individuals in possession of other Sector Keys with the hopes of forming an army. Their first mission is to investigate disturbances caused by a posse of Moonbilly brothers on Planet Lupaxia, but Wild Bill - a Lupaxian native with a history with the Moonbillies, attempts to join them, as he too possesses a Sector Key.
Plot[]
On Xibalba, His Magnificence is continuing to see various coordinated assualts on planets across the galaxy, now that Star Battleforce has launched its biggest drive to liberate Arkeyan-occupied sectors. As he does, Volstagg, wounded in his previous battle with Star Battleforce's Rangers, stumbles in, and is immediatley chastised for his failiure to take them out. Volstagg, demanding to be given a more prominent role, plans to invade Lupaxia - a planet in the Lupus Sector, home of a wolf-like alien race. On board the Destiny, work is being done to recruit more rangers to Star Battleforce's ranger program by outsourcing Sector Keys. Megan is on the bridge checking out reports of Arkeyan activity on the bridge's computer, as Moose, Ryan and Arthur come in, having tested the battle simulator. Approaching them, Joi then tells the four that Colonel Xiao wants to meet in the tech lab with an announcement. Seeing Ryan snicker, Megan asks him if he knows something. Ryan states that Colonel Xiao is going to announce him as the team leader; Moose doubts Colonel will pick him - let alone Arthur, and even Megan, even though she is the father of General Sawyer, a high-ranking officer at S.B.F. Moose teasingly asks Ryan if she wants the job, which Ryan sarcastically believes. Arthur tells Ryan that he has some competition - in him.
In the tech lab, Colonel Xiao introduces the crew to Russell Cubowski, a twelve-year-old tech prodigy who serves as Star Battleforce's head researcher, and is responsible for developing and creating technology based around Sector Keys. He shows them some of the blueprints for wormhole generators fuelled by certain Sector Keys, and explains how the Uni-Voyagers will work; having been contacted that colossal Arkeyan attacks can be very likely, mostly via A-Drones to be used by Commandants and Moonbillies, they are required as the best defence against them, and has outlined a system, based upon the likely vast amount of Rangers due to join, that randomises combinations with Ranger Series Red's Uni-Voyager. Arthur, noticing he has some chromatic superiority already, rubs this in Ryan's face. With an extensive search for more Sector Keys underway, Colonel Xiao explains that for the first phase of the Ranger Series program to be fulfilled, nine rangers will need to be recruited; he tasks Arthur, Megan, Moose and Ryan to head to Planet Lupaxia in the Lupus Sector to investigate an energy reading that indicates a Sector Key may have been detected. On Lupaxia, there are Lupaxian survivors panicking, especially with the announcement that the Arekyans have begun a war with Earth's survivors. Among them is "Wild" Bill Lupinaar, a Lupaxian native who swears vengeance on a particular group of Moonbillies, the O'Neill Brothers, for killing his family, trashing his homeworld, and destroying his business. Once the team arrives on Lupaxia, Ryan comes up with a plan; he and the others will scout the planet for any Arkeyan militia, while Arthur is ordered to look for any survivors alone, despite Megan's pleas against it, as he's only a rookie. As this happens, His Magnificence holds a meeting with the O'Neil brothers, who ramble on about their plight on the Lupus Sector, and their discriminations against Lupaxians. He sends the eldest brother, Elwood, to accompany Volstagg in invading the planet.
As the others explore Lupaxia, they are immediately greeted by a horde of Moonbillies, led by Elwood; they then morph and battle the Arkeyan aggressors. Meanwhile, Arthur is exploring the Lupaxian forests, where he is greeted, very forcefully, by Wild Bill who is in possession of the Lupus Sector Key. After calming him down, Arthur tries to understand Bill's thick Jamacian accent and Iyaric speech as he tries to explain what a Sector Key is, based upon what he knows so far; Bill tries to activate it, but nothing happens. Anyway, Bill feels like itās futile to go against the Arkeyans anyway - especially since he holds a vendetta against the O'Neills, while Arthur suspects that Billsās weak resolve is why he could not find a purpose for the Sector Key; Bill does not take too kindly to Arthurās words, and goes berserk again. As Volstagg enters Lupaxia's orbit and orders vast attacks on its citizens, Arthur and Wild Bill have taken their fight out to the beach. Wild Bill tells Arthur not to pick a fight when heās not strong enough, but Arthur counters that if Wild Bill is so strong, why doesnāt he fight. Bill says he did fight, alongside his own people. But their foolish fighting resulted in his entire people being wiped out by the O'Neils. Arthur understands Wild Billās pain, but says that is only more reason to fight, and offers a truce, by showing Bill a case - which as the Star Battleforce symbol on it. To this end, Bill realises Arthur is from Star Battleforce, and that Arthur intends to recruit him. Before Arthur can explain though, Megan contacts him, saying that Volstagg is back, and they are being outnumbered fast; Arthur tells her he's on his way, while Bill stays behind and opens the box, which contains a Uni-Controller.
The others are struggling against the horde of Moonbillies, until an already morphed Arthur arrives just in time, and the other rangers and they are able to finally get a leg up on the Roswells and Moonbilllies. Just then, Joi calls to say an Arkeyan convoy is approaching the Destiny - with Volstagg on one of the Arkeyan ships, and suggests that Megan and Ryan call on their Uni-Voyagers. They do so, and fend off a fleet of Arkeyan Starfighters headed towards the Destiny in their zords. Arthur decides to join in, but does not fully understand how the Uni-Controller works; Joi, over the communicator, tells Arthur that in order to summon a Voyager, he has to push the Sector Key to the left. He does so, and summons his Voyager to assist Megan and Ryan in taking down the incoming bogies. Moose, baffled by the prospect he's alone on the battlefield now, holds the remaining ground forces. As he struggles, Wild Bill makes his way to where the carnage is taking place, and thinks about Arthurās words and decides he wants to fight against the Arkeyans, and his Sector Key lights up. He grabs the Uni-Controller given to him by Arthur, and morphs into Star Battleforce's Blue Ranger. He assists Moose in taking down the Arkeyan aggressors, even though Moose does have trouble with Bill's accents and "beastly mannerisms". Eventually, Bill reaches Elwood, who seems enticed that he's getting a first go at revenge, and fights him; after a quick one-on-one, Elwood is defeated, but two of his brothers take him away to safety, prompting Bill to have a tantrum.
Up in space, after a long and intense dogfight with Arkeyan Starfighters, Arthur manages to dock both Megan and Ryanās Voyagers and attack an onslaught of A-Drones, one of which is carrying Volstagg - who manages to escape. At this sight, an embiggened Moonbilly takes them on and knocks them back towards Lupaxia. But Moose and Bill, having figured out how to summon their Voyagers during the struggle, arrive in their own Voyagers and they also dock allowing them to form the Voyager Squad Megazord, even though Bill cannot adjust properly to the rangers' tech. On Lupaxia's moon, they take on the giant Moonbilly by using specialised attacks from each Uni-Voyager, before finishing the Moonbilly off for good with a Universal Strike Attack. On the Destiny's bridge, everyone celebrates as Wild Bill is officially welcomed as the newest recruit to the Ranger Series Program, as Arthur seems glad he now has someone on a similar level to him now. Meanwhile, at a lifestyle club on Planet Saint Denis in the Ophiuchi Sector, two lifestyle gurus see a Star Battleforce advert on TV fronted by Joi encouraging those with Sector Keys to come forward, as a special team is being put together.
