Ares was the Crimson Olympian Ranger until he passed his powers to Mikhail Urusov. He remains an ally to the Olympian Rangers, even without his Ranger powers. He was later turned into the Crimson Dark Olympian Ranger against his will by Cronus.

History[]

Actual Mythology[]

Ares was the son of Zeus and Hera. He didn't appear in many myths. The few he did appear in usually had to do with him and Aphrodite, goddess of love and wife of Hephaestus. Ares and Aphrodite were once caught in a metal net that Hephaestus had designed and taken to the other . They found it amusing, and Ares was not punished. With Aphrodite, Ares had 7 children, including Phobos and Deimos and many of the Erotes. Ares, in his Roman form of Mars, was the father of Romulus and Remus with Rhea Silvia, a Vestal Virgin (which didn't last, obviously). As such, Ares/Mars was responsible for the founding of Rome (at least in myth).

Olympian Force[]

Ares was the Crimson Olympian Ranger before he passed his powers (reluctantly) to Mikhail Urusov through the Crimson Olympian Gems. Ares very much did not want to give up some of his godly power, as he was convinced the gods could still fight Hades themselves.

Ares eventually gave in and created the Crimson Olympian Gems before sending them into Russia, where they were hidden for thousands of years. Second Genesis

Ares himself appeared when the Olympians were revealed to be alive to the Olympian Rangers, but didn't speak. Listen for the Siren! Steeled Resolve

Ares appeared again during the Assault on Mt. Olympus and voted against Christina Farro taking the Flame of the Gods to the Temple, as he was convinced the battle was not lost, but was overruled 11 to 1. He fought hard against the Spartoi, Gryphon and the duplicate of Hades that led the attack, but eventually fell. He was taken to the prison cells in the Underworld. The Solstice Siege

When Hades went past Ares to collect Pan, Ares asked if he was sending another god to fail against the Rangers. This enraged Hades, who launched a fireball at him that sent him flying into the wall. Hades used this as an example on why others shouldn't anger him, leading the rest of the gods to behave. It took Ares a day or two to heal from the burns Hades inflicted. Human Nature
