Arcade Sentai Shouburanger (アーケード戦隊シューブランジャー Ākēdo Sentai Shūburanjā?) is a new addition to the Super Sentai series. It's primary motif is video gaming, and as such both parodies and idolizes video game tropes. The Sentai is also the third installment in the Unofficial Sentai Series.
Synopsis[]
"Video games have come to life, and are attacking the Earth! A detective agency specializing in entertainment media has arisen to beat back the digital threat. These video gamers use the latest in gaming technology to battle as.....ARCADE SENTAI! SHOUBURANGER!" - Opening blurb
You know how video games work, right? A team of developers combine sequences of zeroes and ones to forge a simulated realistic experience. What if that reality wasn't as fake as you imagined? What if it was a world just like ours? Now imagine if all of the fantastical elements of that world came to life, with hostile intentions? That is where the newest detective agency comes in. A detective agency shrouded under the disguise of a local arcade sniffs out supernatural and digital threats, battling them as the Arcade Sentai Shouburanger!
