Synopsis[]
Wild Bill is upset because he has not been chosen for deployment lately, but has his wish granted when the Ranger Lottery selects him to join a mission to rescue a Star Battleforce exploration party from a luxurious hotel ran by an Arkeyan Commandant. This simple mission quickly descends into chaos when he, Florian and Bronzee face a series of surreal distractions as they explore the resort.
Plot[]
Three days have passed since Dimitri and Moose took a leave of absence in order to pursue Mikhail Toxstatin. Meanwhile on Planet Deluxo, the planet's Arkeyan commandant, Gigan UFO-Lots is throwing high-ranking Star Battleforce officers in prison while he himself enjoys luxury at the Grand Deluxo Hotel, which has been flagged as an Arkeyan outreach outpost. On the Destiny, Wild Bill is eager to show what heās got, but he hasnāt been chosen by the Ranger Lottery lately. He starts to think itās him who now has bad luck, after Arthur's bout of bad luck when facing Cereberos. Colonel Xiao and Joi brief the Rangers on the traveling fancy luxury hotel - but it is strictly not for relaxation, as the Arkeyans have taken control of it. Some of the Rangers will go into the Palace disguised as staff to free an imprisoned S.B.F. exploration team from the A-Drone hidden in the underground facility, while the other team will be hacking the hotel's systems. Bill is sure heāll be missing this mission too, but Arthur encourages him. Colonel Xiao says there will be seven rangers deployed on this mission. He rolls the Ranger Lottery for the hacking/communications and itās Arthur, Russell and Ryan. The next four will be the ones who will infiltrate the hotel. Megan is the is first to come out of the Ranger Lottery, followed by Florian and Bronzee. That leaves one more slot, and for the first time in ages, itās for Wild Bill.
Wild Bill, Bronzee and a very excited Florian are at the Hotel as UFO-Lots arrives; Bill is also holding a MALP - a wheeled reconicance drone, which is being operated by Megan using a special headset, who is with the hacking crew. Joi tells them about the remote on UFO-Lotsā belt that will open the cells in the A-Drone, before instructing Arthur and Ryan to scope out the hotel while Russell hacks the hotel's systems for the infiltration team to access the underground vault. Inside the hotel, UFO-Lots takes a liking to a waitress's leg, but a hotel server asks her to serve another customer. That leaves Bill, Florian and Bronzee to try and keep UFO-Lots pleasured. But they are not too successful. Joi has suggestions for them and gives them the necessary Sector Keys. But every one of them just gets UFO-Lots more and more upset. As the three figure out ways to entertain him, they come across a bar, where they are welcomed the guests, all of whom are Moonbillies. The bartender, Levi Floods - who Florian recognises from Saint Denis, takes this opportunity to introduce Bill and the Saint Denis duo to his own range of alcoholic drinks, which he made himself, and challenges the customers to a drinking game; the trio starts drinking. Outside of the hotel, Russell is helping Arthur and Ryan scope out the hotel, and assisting them in identifying where the security guards are, as Megan is easily getting used to how the MALP works. He reveals the binoculars he's provided them with have x-ray vision, which allows them to look inside the building from a distance. When Arthur tries it out, he take a look at a few security guards inside, and finds the other three taking part in some drinking, commenting that they seem to be having fun. Ryan is shocked, and hopes that they don't get too distracted, or else the job is blown.
As Bill, Bronzee and Florian continue drinking, Florian orders a pint, while a Moonbilly patron named Jeb annoys the pair, prompting Bill into intimidating him into leaving the trio alone. After drinking some more, Bill loses Florian and Bronzee and begins looking for them, drunkenly stumbling around the hotel floor, and finds Florian upstairs, trying to balance a shot glass on his forehead, and then he drops it over the railing, smashing against the floor below, only to find Bronzee hanging on a balcony. Reunited, the three start drinking again, but Bill soon loses him again and after searching the bar a second time finds him downstairs trying to fight off two guests from atop the bar counter. Bill confronts the men, but ends up drunkenly line dancing with Florian, Bronzee, and even the patrons of the bar. As the others continue to scope the security, they notice the music is playing louder. Arthur wonders if they could break in, but Russell says the job will be compromised if they break in without invitation. Back inside, UFO-Lots begins to take notice of the sudden drunken behavior, and reports to Gazla about how much the prisoners are being manipulated to enjoy the comforts of the hotel despite the "staff" failing to entertain him. The pianist at the bar begins to play the music louder due to Florian drunkenly using the Music Sector Key, as Bill, Bronzee, Florian, and several other drunken patrons continue to dance. After relieving himself outside, Bill returns to the hotel, and is unable to find Florian, but is able to find Bronzee for the third time, but he is so drunk and inebriated by this point that he sees every patron as Bronzee. Florian also re-enters the hotel, and sees every patron as Bill, but manages to find Bronzee after getting punched around by a Moonbilly. After stumbling around, drunkenly yelling after Bronzee and talking to three or more patrons, Bronzee finds Bill, and the pair engage in a slap fight before they return to drinking again. Jeb then re-enters the bar, and steals Bill's drink out of his hand. This prompts Bill to grab Jeb by the neck.
Through the MALP, Megan notices this right away, and in frustration, she notifies the others that the infiltration team are drunk - confirming Russell's suspicions when Russell borrows Megan's headset for a second. This provokes Russell to strongly consider breaking in, something which Arthur backs up. Ryan stops them both, stating that the commandant inside will immediately find out what they are really doing, but Russell argues that they'll be able to complete the hack and free the prisoners from the A-Drone. Bill and Florian are outside, holding Jeb over a water trough moments before a group of Roswells confront them to arrest the duo for their drunken shenanigans, leading to the trio fleeing the dining area and attempting to run to the basement. To this end, Russell - who is already morphed, crashes into the hotel and tells the Arkeyan guests to "get out". The piano music is played even louder, as Arthur and Ryan also arrive, while UFO-Lots realises their true intentions, and orders the Roswells and Moonbillies to attack, as Bill, Florian, and Bronzee's drunken shenanigans continue. Ryan tells Megan to use the MALP to get the trio to safety, as she figures out the rest of the controls, but a drunken Bill mistakes her for Bronzee. Russell is able to clear a path to the underground facility, and Arthur and Ryan follow him down there to free the prisoners as Megan remains at the vantage point. The other four are targeted by UFO-Lots, and Megan has the MALP bind him momentarily with the Tape Sector Key before she flees, as Bill, Florian and Bronzee drunkenly follow the MALP behind. As this happens, Bronzee is able to snatch some goods belonging to UFO-Lots.
As UFO-Lots takes his leave to pursue the infiltrators, Arthur, Russell and Ryan de-morph and are able to enter the underground facility, only to find out that there is no sign of any prisoners in the A-Drone. Arthur thinks that the prisoners may have found a way out while Russell was hacking. Outside the hotel, Megan leads the rest out, as Bill, Florian and Bronzee vomit as a result of all of the binge drinking. They find out that the prisoners did notice some "irregular activity" going on inside of the A-Drone. Arthur, Ryan, Megan and Russell regroup with them soon after, and the exploration crew explains their situation to them, as Russell takes a lot of the credit for the hack. Just then, Colonel Xiao contacts the crew for a status report, with the intent of knowing whether they rescued the exploration crew or not. Arthur explains that they had a lot of fun trying to rescue the prisoners, all because the infiltration team (sans Megan) were heavily drinking; Joi is on the line as well and advises that Bill and the Saint Denis duo should not participate in combat after a hangover, but Arthur suggests they let them off. Before any further status reports, UFO-Lots appears, and the team surrounds him, after which they morph and take on the commandant. As the fight rages, UFO-Lots activates his A-Drone again, moments before Colonel Xiao arrives in Drago Voyager 10 and calls on Bronzee and Florian - who are still unfocused as a result of drinking, to form the Drago Pride Megazord with him. The A-Drone uses the hotel as a shield, but is fruitless since all the guests apparently fled the building as a result of the escalating drunken chaos.
The remaining rangers are able to subdue UFO-Lots, delivering an All-Star Sector Blast intent on finishing off, but unbeknownst to them, an executive order has been signed, which enlarges the commandant moments before the attack even hits. In response, Arthur forms the Voyager Squad Megazord with Ryan, Megan, Russell and Bill; as Colonel Xiao, Bronzee and Florian fight the A-Drone, the rest takes on UFO-Lots. After a long battle, they deal a final blow to both UFO-Lots and the rampaging A-Drone. Back on the Destiny, Russell is called into Colonel Xiao's office, and is told by Colonel Xiao and Joi that during the recent extraction mission, he was briefed by senior Star Battleforce officials regarding Russell's involvement in the program as a Ranger, and that regulations regarding the minimum age required to participate in on-field combat were indeed violated by him in becoming a ranger alongside Arthur and the others. As a result, Colonel Xiao regrettably suspends Russell's ranger privileges for now, pending further discussions with the board back at Star Battleforce HQ. Russell isn't really that disappointed, citing that he became a ranger primarily by accident, and he looks forward to fully concentrating on his logistical duties for once. In the promenade, Bronzee is showing Arthur, Bill, Ryan, Megan, and Florian what she swiped from the hotel - an EMP Signal Jammer, a piece of military hardware she heard that Star Battleforce were searching for months; after some prodding by Florian, she presses it, only to get stunned as a result of an electric shock. Just then, Levi Floods appears and reveals that since the hotel was siezed by S.B.F., they hired him as a travelling bartender to make up for his lost product. At this moment, Florian and Bill are elated and begin drinking again - as Floods rejuvinates Bronzee by giving her another pint - much to Megan and Ryan's disdain. Before he has a pint, Bill says he relied on luck to survive a hangover - especially on a simple mission, but Arthur, who joins in the fun too, says itās only proof that you can actually make your own luck when ever the time's right.
