Hello PR Fans! I would like to firstly apologise for a prolonged absence from this wiki; I have otherwise been preoccupied, yet struggling to creatively stay in line due to the final creative shift in the real-life PR canon.
So yeah, you may have noticed a month or two ago, I secretly trademarked a Boonboomger adaptation, having seen its early adaptation potential. With that, I am pleased to say that my Boonboomger adaptation is....
(drum roll please...)
Details are slim at the moment, but since progress is lethargic at the moment unless I shake things up big time, it may be a good while yet. Needless to say, I aim this to be the most immersive and expansive evolution of the Power Rangers saga yet.
So yeah, since a lot has changed with me here, and you guys may have a couple of questions to my fanon career here. I was thinking about answering some of them as part of a progress update Q&A, so here goes:
Are your currently-in-development mainline PR series in development still in development?
Yes, they most certainly are. Heeding advice by those closest to me, I've refrained from adding to much info, and I still do now.
When it comes to adding more info to developing PR projects of yours, have you contemplated adding more to them?
Yeah, actually. At times, I have it glued to my head regarding what names I have for my characters, but I'm open to suggestions from time to time, and I have to discuss arsenal names first.
What are your thoughts on Cosmic Fury?
I can't get over why they would use suits from Zyuohger when they still have a chance to adapt it for a 31st season, but it was a satisfying conclusion to the real-world PR saga.
Looking back on your progress with Power Rangers Universe so far, what are your thought on it, now that Cosmic Fury has come and gone?
Upon reflection, I'd say my vision of Kyuranger would have been the more sensible approach, but the "Dairangerization" of the source material, and the obvious scaling back of the final real-life PR season was a bit of concern for me. Since Cosmic Fury rolled out, progress on Universe has declined significantly, given that I set out an agenda that my adaptations would honor real-life developments with the franchise going forward, which would mean hard decisions would need to be considered.
Now, I'm gonna be real honest when I say this: at one point, I actually considered abandoning Universe altogether and move on with other Power Rangers projects I have left. I still do question my decision to go through with Universe most of the time, but I have recently contemplated declaring Universe's independence from my PR canon, due to the fact it is a non-canonical Kyuranger adaptation, and would allow me to make fundamental changes so the franchise can continue as I see fit following Cosmic Fury.
So, what have you been up to in your absence?
Glad you asked - well, I've been having to deal with stuff on other sites, mainly reddit and discord, where I oversee a subreddit focused on M&A and consolidation in the media and entertainment industry. I've also produced a short film as part of a college project, called Limbo; I've submitted this project to several short film festivals in the UK.
What are your thoughts on the future of Power Rangers?
I'm nervous, to say the least. If I were a successful filmmaker in real life, I'd happily bring my Power Rangers vision to the board, if Hasbro still has faith in the franchise at this point. I even think Rail Patrol, at times, could see the franchise in a new, never-before-seen light.
Of the PR projects you've done or are being developed, which one would you be most proud of?
Power Rangers Discovery. Of course, I'm contemplating a few tweaks to the episodes to make things less complicated, but since not all the suits were used on Cosmic Fury, it's possible I could, as a filmmaker, convince Hasbro to go with Zyouhger if they were to relaunch the series without reseting the canon. I've also got high, high hopes for Rail Patrol (ToQger) and Fallen Kingdom (King-Ohger).
